The Bow Wow Therapy program will expand its program by recruiting, training, supporting, and coordinating volunteer therapy-dog handlers and their dogs to meet the demand for canine therapy at Georgetown facilities. Examples of facilities that have requested therapy teams include hospitals, independent living homes, Alzheimer’s care centers, as well as to Victim Services staff and clients. The $10,000 grant will fund a portion of the Therapy Program Director’s salary.
