The Medical Program provides medical exams, as needed, to children who are brought to the center during an investigation of child abuse. This includes Sexual Assault Nurse Exams (SANEs), forensic exams for suspected physical abuse, and Safe Child checks to provide medical exams for signs of past or present abuse or neglect. The $25,000 grant will help purchase the Cortex Flo Camera system for required medical record encrypted file storage and sharing of sensitive private medical information, as well as some professional fees.
