2023 RECIPIENT: $25,000
The grant will provide 1,000 children with weekend food packs for 7+ weekends of the school year. Each pack contains 8-10 nutritious non-perishable food items for children in the program. Georgetown Backpack Buddies provides weekend food packs to food-insecure children in the Georgetown Independent School District, currently serving all 17 GISD schools and grades K-12.
