Wine and chocolate or chocolate and wine – any way you say it they are a perfect pair. Add in almost eighty wise and wonderful women in a beautiful setting, and you have the recipe for a fabulous evening of fun.

That is exactly what occurred on February 8 at the Wine, Women, Chocolate and Giving event held in the historic Williamson County Courthouse. From the scrumptious chocolate goodies prepared and shared by the women of Seeds of Strength to the wine served by our very own “bartenders” to the elegant ambience of the District Courtroom, it was the perfect occasion to visit with old friends and make new ones.

The second floor of the courthouse proved to be just the right place for the group to come together for fellowship and to celebrate the start of the new year. The program portion of the event took place when Chair Pat Donica introduced and thanked her team for their hard work. She then held the drawing for the door prizes donated by members and local businesses.

The rest of the evening was filled with camaraderie and conversation as the women of Seeds of Strength welcomed visitors and potential members, while getting reacquainted with each other. It is easy to see how this amazing group makes such a difference in this wonderful community we call home. Their spirit and enthusiasm left a glow that likely still shines in the venerable old building on the square.

May that glow help the seeds to grow and prosper while continuing to enrich the lives of members of the Georgetown community.
