CAPITAL IDEA
Capital IDEA has $10,000 to enable them to expand the Career Path Program in Georgetown.
“Capital IDEA is honored and thankful to be chosen to receive a grant from Seeds of Strength. Your support will help us continue our mission of lifting working adults out of poverty and into living wage careers through a community college education. The $10,000 grant will fund direct educational expenses and the wraparound support necessary for 12 low income adult students in Georgetown to continue on their life changing educational path.
The impact of your investment can best be expressed through the words of Capital IDEA graduate and Georgetown resident, Rhonda Carthel: “My education and my profession have empowered me. Becoming an RN gave me the open door to get out of unhealthy situations, and to continue to grow into the woman God wants me to be. Without the help I received from Capital IDEA, there is no way I could have completed my education, and gotten to where I am today.”
