2012 RECIPIENT:

THE WILLIAMSON MUSEUM

Williamson County Historical Museum, Inc. has the $10,000 they need to continue the Annual Museum Educational Outreach Programming.

“The Williamson Museum has just completed another successful school year, working with just over 5,000 GISD students and more than 5,000 other students from across the country.

The summer will be spent preparing a new Endangered Species trunk for the fall, along with gearing up for our Chisholm Trail Days event taking place the third week in October. Our popular Summer History Explorers Camp, held the last two weeks of July for 3rd ‐ 6th graders, is filling up fast. This year’s theme is “Gone to Texas”.

I am truly grateful for the grant award as well as for the recognition of the value of our programs to the lives of youth in Georgetown. The opportunities that Seeds of Strength is able to provide through the generosity of its members help to enrich the lives of many people. Thank you for what you do for Georgetown, and for allowing us to continue on our mission.”
